Essence of NatureWords From Tim=AmazingPhotographer
These are my five best nature photos I took over the weekend. All of these shots were taken in my backyard. I played with my appeture and depth of field to find the right camera settings for these shots. Each photo is unique in its own way with its own style. These five photos stuck out to me because they were better than the other 45. These photos definitely show the essence of nature. The first one is an up close shot of a pine tree. The blur and shade put it all together and help focus on what's really important. The next shot shows the beautiful blue skyline with some nice tall trees being lines in the photo. The photo of the pink pine needle tree is unique because it's only found in two places, East Guam, and East Freetown. The next photo of the eye popping blue, green, grey pine tree is almost a wintery feel. The last photo in my opinion was my best shot. This photo shows the sun coming in through the trees still featuring that beautiful Freetown skyline. I feel like these shots turned out really spectacular. |
PORTRAITS!
Reflection
My definition of portrait is an image of a person. A portrait is a wonderful type of picture because there are so many things you can do with the person that you're taking a picture of. My portraits go with my definition of portrait because I took pictures of a person. My portraits are of my cousin receiving text messages and of my cousin in monster masks. For the text message ones I was trying to portray the reactions of a happy message and a surprised message. For the masks, we were in the spirit of Halloween, and modeling the style of the famous photographer Meatyard. My subject was posed because I told him what to do. I used simplification in almost every photo because they were just of my cousin. In some of the photos I used line because the cabinets behind point up to the pumpkin monster also known as my cousin. The Halloween themed picture of the Werewolf lounging in chair is simplification because it is just him, chilling in the chair after a nice dinner. I believe my portraits all came out nice and was thrilled with the results.

Motion
Reflection
My images illustrate motion because I took pictures of cars moving. The photography technique I used was panning. I would manipulate my camera by panning and taking a lot of shows while slowly following the car. The composition techniques I used in my photos include line and blank space. In the photo of the bus there are a lot of lines caused by the blur of motion. The blur in this image just created a really eye popping night blur of motion, which I just thought was special. I also used blank space in some of the photos of the cars just so my viewers can focus on the essence of a car in motion. I edited these photos in Photoshop by darkening the background a little bit more so my viewers could focus on the cars. For the photo of the white van, I made the street line pink in honor of breast cancer awareness month. These images reflect society because its people driving in every day society. I feel like my images came out really well. My fav image is probably the one of the small black car because it reminds me of a picture in a magazine. I was exhilarated with my results and loved how my motion photos came out.

ABSTRACT!
Reflection
Most of my images all involve an abstract blur. I manipulated my camera by using the photo composition technique of blur and going up close to my subjects. The editing processes I applied in Photoshop were hue, saturation, and brightness and contrast. I adjusted the settings on these editing processes to make my image pop out more and look more abstract. The composition techniques that are constantly presented in all of my photos are shape, line, and rhythm. Each photo is unique, but represents these three composition techniques someway. The famous photographer my work resembles is Alan Babbit because my stain glass images are somewhat similar to his. Overall I think my images came out okay and was happy with the results, but there could be some improvement. I need to stand further away and focus on using my lense correctly.

Composite Self Portrait
The various images in my self portrait all represent myself in someway. The picture of the lacrosse game represent my love for the sport. The picture of the ocean is in Jamaica, which is my favorite place in the world. I also love the beach. The picture of my cousin shows I hold family deep to my heart. The picture of Jesus shows the Jesus is the number one thing in my life, which is why it’s the biggest. The picture of my sister and my dog are two of my favorite organisms in the universe. I used photoshop by using the place embedded tool, and adjusting the opacity. The composition techniques I have used are shape and line. The shape is all the squares because I put the images in a collage on top of my selfie. Line is used because they all have lines in them going through me. I think the composition came out pretty good. If I were tod o anything differently, maybe I would try making a different composite self portrait.
